OVERVIEW
Virtual Reality technology has so much potential for Architects and designers. As an immersive technology, it will transport users into a fully interactive 3d environment giving them the opportunity to explore a Virtual Representation of a space or design.
All of this can be achieved with Epic’s ‘Unreal Engine’.
Our goal in this Class is to help you achieve just that replicating the "AMORA Residence" Project.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Students will be able to take their Archviz work in Revit/3dsMax and transfer them into UnrealEngine
Students will understand the general workflow of using the unreal engine 4 for their Archviz work.
Students will be able to add life to their Archviz projects, understanding the use of materials and lighting.
Students will be able to take their Unreal Projects into Virtual Reality and Create Basic interactions.

SOFTWARE
REQUIREMENTS
UNREAL ENGINE 4:
UE4 will be used through out the course.
The current version available is 4.20.2 which is what we will use for the classes.
The good news is, its absolutely free. You can download UE4 here
3DS MAX:
This is the main 3D creation software package the will be used for the duration of the course. The Latest version is 2019, but if you have as low as version 2015 you're goo to go.

SKETCHUP
As an alternative to 3ds max Trimble Sketchup will also be used.

I don't use 3ds max or sketchup, Is this course for me?
YES, only Module 1 is about prepping your 3dsmax and sketchup files, and explains concepts in 3DSMAX easily transferable to any other 3d software. The files exports from 3dsmax will be provided so you can import the project in UE4 as if you had done them yourself.
Is this course OK for beginners?
Definitely, in this course, it is assumed you don’t know anything about UE4, and you will be taken through all the steps necessary.
What files to I get?
You get all the files required at the different stages of the course so you can follow along.
Do I get Video’s to help me learn ?
YES, every class is recorded, and you will be given the video at the end of each class to help you review what you just learnt.
